Twitter to Allow Users to Get All Their Tweets

Finally, twitter will be allowing its users to get their hands on all archived tweets. Announcing the holday gift for Twitter users, twitter said, it has begun rolling out the feature to download all your twitter archive, including retweets from the very beginning. The Twitter Archive will allow user to view/search tweets by months/hashtaga/usernames.

To check whether your twitter account has the Twitter Archive Feature, login to Twitter,

Go to Settings and scroll down to the bottom to check for the option to request your Twitter archive. If you do see it, go ahead and click the button. You’ll receive an email with instructions on how to access your archive when it’s ready for you to download.

Twitter says that If you don’t see the feature, you will be getting it over the “coming weeks and months”. Twitter also revealed the origin of Twitter Archive Project; it said that

This project was first built during one of our quarterly Hack Weeks. Since then, we’ve done the engineering work necessary to make it available to Twitter users. We look forward to seeing the old Tweets you uncover. As you go through all of your Tweets, share your favorites using #TwitterArchive.
