Unlike other special Google doodle, there is no animation for Halloween. Instead, the Google Doodle sports a time-lapsed video of huge pumpkin carvings. The Time-lapsed video starts as six huge whole pumpkins and shows Googlers carving them over time. By the end of the day, the Google team manages to carve “Google” out of the pumpkins.

Giving more details about the Halloween celebrations, Google said in its blog post that Google made a special order for these giant pumpkins from nearby Half Moon Bay. Some of the pumpkins were so huge that they weighed over 1,000 pounds. Google also gave more details on the carving time and said that the Google Doodle team spent eight hours carving in the middle of our Mountain View, Calif. campus.
