Google has started the celebration of Jim Henson’s. the creator of Muppets, 75th birthday bit early with a animated Google Logo made of muppets. Tomorrow, September 24 is Jim Henson’s birthday and the animated Google Doodle will live Google website for more than a day. One can play with the muppets digitally with your mouse by choosing a muppet and moving around.

Interestingly, unlike typical Google Doodles, clicking on the dooddle does not lead to Google search results on Jim Henson, immediately. If you play hard enough on the last red monster, you can make him eat the green guy next to him. Only then Google offer you to search “Jim Henson” on its site. If you pull the right strings, you can even make the second guy’s glasses fly.

Google made the Muppet logo in partnership with The Jim Henson company. In a blogpost in Google, Jim Henson’s son Brian Henson said that
He loved gadgets and technology. Following his lead, The Jim Henson Company continues to develop cutting-edge technology for animatronics and digital animation, like this cool Google doodle celebrating Jim’s 75th birthday. But I think even he would have found it hilarious the way today some people feel that when they’ve got their smartphone, they no longer need their brain.
[UPDATE] Like other popular Google Doodles, the Google Muppet Logo has got a permanent home at Google here http://www.google.com/logos/2011/henson.html.

So you an only play with it on the Google homepage ??
