HP sold out its tablet device, HP TouchPad, running on WebOS. Well, Apple saw it on the day it released its iPad. HP would have loved to see a response like it saw today but about two months ago. However, for HP to see, it had to shutdown its production.

The reason for such a demand for its TouchPad is its dead cheap price. To clear out its stock pile of thousands of unsold TouchPad, HP sold 16GB HP TouchPad for $99 and 32GB TouchPad for $149. In the process of selling out, HP’s server also crashed and behaved erratically.
To confuse the enthusiastic buyers, HP site is either showing that HP TouchPad is still available or sold out depending which browser you use and possibly their server. After announcing the closure its tablet business a few days ago, HP started selling its HP TouchPad for $99 in Canada yesterday. And HP started selling TouchPad at the reduced price is US today in its online store and the major retail stores like Walmart, BestBuy, and Staples. Within a few hours HP sold out TouchPad at these retails stores and finally in HP online store.
