With Facebook’s new Messenger app one can send or get to a messages to everyone irrespective of whether they are on Facebook or just in your phone contacts. Launching Messenger, Facebook said Messenger is faster way to message in a mobile and reach your friends and small groups.

Although Messenger is a stand alone app it is integrated with your Facebook. Therefore, all of your conversations, including your texts, chats, emails and messages will in one place for easy access.

Messenger also makes it easy to make plans with groups. One can easily initiate a group conversation and message everyone at once. In addition, Messenger offers you to share your location thus making it easier for your friends to find you on the map. And yes, you can also attach photos.

Facebook’s Messenger app is available for Android and iPhone now. Just search for “Facebook Messenger” in Android Market or Apple App store. Don’t worry if you don’t have an iPhone or Android smartphone, you can still reply to messages if you register your number using your Facebook account.
