The major attraction of the new Nook, is that it has full touchscreen. The new Nook is ultra-light (weighing just 7.48 ounces (212 grams)) portable 6-inch eReader has the most-advanced E Ink Pearl display. All-New NOOK is thin and 35% lighter and 15% thinner than NOOK Wi-Fi 1st Edition. It has 2GB internal memory and it also has microSD card card that ca support up to 32GB. The new Nook is powered by Android 2.1.

In addition,the all-New NOOK, The Simple Touch Reader, also boasts of two month-long battery life. The new Nook is ready to be pre-ordered and Barnes and Noble will begin shipping on or about June 10 right in time for Father’s day and to catch up with summer reading. Barnes and Noble also announced that it has capture more than 25% of the eBook market within just 18 months after launching NOOK 1st Edition.
