Apple acknowledged to AllthingsD’s Mobilied about the iPad 2 Verizon 3G connectivity problem and said it is investigating the issue. Apple iPad 2 owners of Verizon Wi-Fi + 3G started complaining almost within a week of iPad 2′s launch regarding the problem of not able to connect to Verizon 3G network.
The problem is that the Verizon 3G iPad 2 needs to be rebooted everytime to connect to 3G network after switching off the 3G switch. As of now, the Apple support form has eight pages on this issue without a clear solution. Customers had complained of spending too much time trying fix the problem with Apple help desk/Genius Bar with no success even with a new replacement.
AllthingsD’s Mobilied managed to get a response from Apple on this issue today. Apple issued a statement to Mobilized and stated that
We are aware that a small number of iPad 2 customers have experienced connectivity issues with the Verizon 3G network and we are investigating it
