Apple heard the complaints and is introducing Apple Digital AV Adapter. The Apple Digital AV Adapter allows one to connect iPad to a TV, video projeection screen, or a HDMI display and it mirrors exactly what you see on iPad 2 to in the screen.
The Apple Digital AV Adapter costs $39 and it is not just for the new iPad 2. It also supports video out for iPad, iPhone 4, or iPod touch (4th generation).
iPad 2 Dock
Apple is also launching a new sleek dock for iPad 2 to make it easier for syncing or charging. It also feature an audio line out port for connecting to speakers. Apple iPad 2 doc costs $29 and it is compatible only with iPad 2. Apple offers tips on how one can use the iPad 2 Dock at its web site.
- Connect the dock to your computer with the USB cable included with your iPad 2 to sync iPad 2 and charge its battery.
- Connect the dock to an electrical outlet using the iPad 10W USB Power Adapter (included with your iPad 2) to charge the iPad battery.
- Use the dock to hold iPad 2 at the perfect angle to compose email and notes using a Bluetooth keyboard or to watch your favorite videos or photo slideshows.
- Connect the dock to a TV or video projector using a compatible accessory such as the Apple Digital AV Adapter, the Apple VGA Adapter, or the Apple Component or Composite AV Cable.
- Connect the dock to a stereo or speakers using an AV cable or a stereo audio cable to play music from iPad 2.
