NexusS 1 300x158 Google Announces Nexus S 4G; Google Voice Integrates with Sprint Google announced that Nexus S is getting the 4G goodness with Sprint. Introducing Nexus S 4G, Google said it developed Nexus S 4G with Sprint with the goal of tightly integrating hardware and software. Google’s Nexus S offering pure Google experience is the first smartphone to run on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

Nexus S 4G will be available for purchase from Sprint in this spring and also from Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores across the nation. Google added that

Nexus S 4G takes advantage of Sprint’s high-speed 4G data network. It features a 4” Contour Display designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hand and along the side of your face. It also features a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, front and rear facing cameras, 16GB of internal memory, and NFC (near field communication) hardware that lets you read information from everyday objects that have NFC tags.

From now on, Sprint customers can use their Sprint mobile number as their Google Voice number and use it ring other phones simultaneously. Explaining the use of Google Voice number to Sprint customers, Google said

calls to your Sprint mobile number can easily be answered from your office or your home phone, or even your computer through Gmail. Calls from Gmail and text messages sent from google.com/voice will also display your Sprint number. This basically gives Sprint customers all the benefits of Google Voice without the need to change or port their number.
