Google Makes Two Step Verification Feature Availbable to All Users

Accept it, most of us use weak password for our online accounts and/or use the same password for multiple accounts/sites. This is the perfect recipe for getting duped online. Google knows this well enough. To improve the security of Google accounts, Google announced that it is making an advanced opt-in security feature called 2-step verification for all users. Google explains that

2-step verification requires two independent factors for authentication, much like you might see on your banking website: your password, plus a code obtained using your phone.

The two steps help Google verify that you are the real owner of the account and thus makes your Google account more secure.
