Facebook announced that it is extending the Facebook Fellowship program to support international Ph.D. students. The Facebook Fellowship program started last year, but only for Ph.D. students from a U.S. university working in a broad area of Computer Science and Social computing.
In addition to extending the Fellowship to international students, Facebook also expanded the research area to include Facebook’s core interests, like computational advertising, fault tolerance, and human-computer interaction.
Facebook said, for 2011-2012 it will be offering five fellowships and each fellowship will include a US $30,000 plus tuition. The key dates for Facebook Fellowship program are
- February 28, 2011: Deadline to submit the application
