The latest report by Hitwise shows that Facebook.com attracts 10 percent of all internet  visits in US. People not just visit Facebook, they seem to consume a lot of content in Facebook. Hitwise says that 25% of all page views in US belong to Facebook.

US. Facebook beat Google to be the number 1 on the internet visitors in March. Facebook’s market share on internet visitors for November showed that it is growing as the No. 1 place to go on the internet. Facebook’s market share this November is 60% higher than its share in November 2009. The No. 2 Google just gained a little and the No.3 YouTube gained by 60% in the same period.

Facebook Contributes 1 in 4 Page Views

Content hungry Facebook users are dominating the market share for the page views in US. Facebook contributes to close to 25% of pages views in US. In November 2009, Facebook just had close to 17% of the market share. The No 2 YouTube and the No.3 Google together just contributes 12% of page views.
