Celebrating the success of cloud computing, Google also launched two-step verification to help enhance security in the cloud. Google said Google Apps Premier, Education and Government Edition users
can sign in with the combination of their password (something they know) and a one-time verification code provided by a mobile phone (something they have).
These security measures will protect users from phishing scams and password reuse. Google said
For the first time, we’re making this technology accessible to organizations large and small without the costs and complexities that have historically limited two-step verification to large enterprises with deep pockets.
Google also said Google Apps Standard Edition and individual Google users will also get these security features soon.
Google Docs Editing Will Come to iPad and Android
