One feature that Google users wanted badly was the ability to login to multiple accounts from the same browser. For example, if one wants to login to Work and Home Gmail accounts simultaneously, till now one needs to open two browsers. However, with a large number of Google products available, it becomes cumbersome to manage multiple Google product accounts simultaneously.
Google has added a new feature called “Multiple Sign-in” that lets users login to multiple Google accounts simultaneously using the same browser.
For example, using this feature one can access two Gmail accounts from the same browser. Google has set a limit on the number of accounts one can sign in. It allows up to a maximum of three accounts at a time. Also, not all Google products has this Multiple Sign-in option. Google lets users access multiple Calendar, Code, Gmail, Reader, Sites accounts simultaneously.
By default, multiple sign in option switched off. Go to Account settings to switch on the Multiple sign-in. Google rolled out this feature to select Gmail users and says that Gmail is working hard to bring the feature to everyone. After enabling the multiple sign-in option, one can click the arrow next to your address at top right to switch between the three Google accounts.
