Apple has added Genius Recommendations in iPad App Store to help iPad users find more suitable apps. Genius for iPad is similar to Genius for iTunes music and iPhones/iPod Touch.
As of June, there were more than 11,000 new apps for iPad ad more than 225,000 app for iPhones and iPod Touch. Searching through thousands of apps to find the right one is almost impossible. A number of recommendation system have come up to suggest you Apps based on what you like and dislike.
Genius Recommendation is Apple’s recommendation engine for Apps. Genius Recommendations recommends apps to users based on what they have downloaded. Till now Genius Recommendation was only available to iPhone users. With more iPad specific applications are becoming available, Apple could bring Genius to iPad users. The new Genius recommendation also features “not interested” option to help find more suitable apps for you.
Apple also added new feature to App Store called “Try Before You Buy” option that allows one to try out an App before deciding to buy.
