FaceTime uses the front camera so that person you’re calling can see your face. FaceTime is easy to use with no set up required. To make FaceTime Video call, go to Contact info of the person you want to call and tap on the FaceTime button. This will request your friend, if he/she wants to join the FaceTime call. Once the request is accepted, the video call will begin.
If you are already on a voice call with a friend and want to convert the call into a FaceTime call, just tap the FaceTime button on the phone screen. While on the FaceTime call, both the persons will see a picture-in-picture window with image from the other person’s iPhone and the image from your iPhone.
