Google Voice added a new feature to its mobile app on Android and Blackberry smartphones, that will allow users to make a call really quickly. Announcing the new feature in its blog, Google said Google is obsessed with speed and its mantra is faster=better.
The new feature, called “direct access numbers”, works as follows. Till now, for every call, the Google Voice Mobile app would contact Google Voice server. Only after a contact is made, user’s call would be connected to an access number. Now with the new upgrade, Google Voice does not need to contact the server every time a user want to place a call. Thus every call is made much faster now.
Find the updated Google Voice mobile app at Android Market. Blackberry users can download the app from http://m.google.com/voice.
